Numerology Number 13

The Numerology of Number 13 holds great spiritual significance according to the Kabbalah.  In more earthly and materialistic terms, the number 13 has a significant correspondence to money.  For example, the U.S. $1 bill has the following on the back:

13 steps on the pyramid.

The motto above the pyramid has 13 letters (annuit coeptis).

13 stars appear over the eagle’s head.

13 stripes are on the shield.

13 war arrows are in the eagle’s right talon.

The olive branch in the eagle’s left talon has 13 leaves.

Numerology Number 7 

The Numerology of Number 7 plays some significant roles in major religions and mythology.  The following are some examples of the number 7 used in Jewish, Christian, Islamic, Hindu, and other faiths.

Some examples of the Numerology of Number 7 in the Jewish religion: 

The plagues of Egypt lasted 7 days.

There are seven levels of heaven.

There are seven days of Passover and Sukkot in Israel.

Shabbat is the seventh day of the week.

The Menorah in the Temple had seven branches.

The Talmud lists seven female prophets: Sarah, Miriam, Deborah, Hannah, Avigail, Chuldah, and Esther. 

Some examples of the Numerology of Number 7 in Christianity:

There are seven churches of Asia to which the book of Revelation is addressed.

There are seven sacraments in many Christian traditional faiths.

There are seven virtues:  chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, kindness, patience, and humility.

In the New Testament, the Gospel of Matthew 18:21, Jesus says to Peter to forgive 70 times seven times.

Some examples of the Numerology of Number 7 in Islam: 

There are seven circumambulations (Tawaf) that are made around the Kaaba.

There are seven walks (Al-Safa and Al-Marwah) that are traveling back and forth seven times during the ritual pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah.

There are seven doors to heaven and hell is also seven.

Some examples of the Numerology of Number 7 in Hinduism: 

There is a celestial group of seven stars named Sapta Rishi based on the seven great saints.

There are seven promises and seven rounds in Hindu Wedding and Seven reincarnations.

As per Hindu mythology, there are seven worlds in the universe, seven seas in the world, and seven Rishies (seven gurus) called sapta rishis. 

Some examples of the Numerology of Number 7 in Mythology:

In Khasi mythology, there are seven divine women who were left behind on earth and became the ancestresses of all humankind.

There were seven gateways traversed by Inanna during her descent into the underworld.

There were seven sages in Sumerian mythology and various other mythologies.

There were seven sleeping men in the Christian myth of the “Seven Sleepers.”

Other examples of the Numerology of Number 7:

The number seven is of particular significance within Cherokee cosmology.

In Buddhism, Buddha walked seven steps at his birth.

In British folklore, every seven years the Fairy Queen pays a tithe to Hell (or possibly Hel) in the tale of Tam Lin.

In the British folklore tale of Thomas, the Rhymer, he went to live in the faerie kingdom for seven years.
