Whatever your standpoint may be, these books were still very interesting and worth a read with an open mind and learn magic for the resistance. I am not saying that you SHOULD be using your craft in this sense, but if nothing else, you can use your craft to protect those who are in the thick of the battles, in the protests, or on the receiving end of violence in these political issues. Whatever your views are, they are respected here.
